Indonesia has a vibrant creative industry—film, music, live concerts, television, digital content, cultural performances, and international events. For foreign artists and entertainment professionals who wish to work legally in Indonesia, the key immigration document is the Entertainment KITAS.

What Is an Entertainment KITAS?

An Entertainment KITAS is a limited stay permit specifically issued to foreign nationals who work in Indonesia in the entertainment sector, with a maximum validity of 6 months. This includes:

  • Musicians and singers

  • Models

  • Dancers

  • Film crew and production teams

  • Guest stars for events, TV shows, or concerts

This type of KITAS is required if the foreign national receives payment or performs professionally in Indonesia.

  • Deportation

  • Blacklisting

  • Fines

  • Event cancellation

Indonesia has strict immigration compliance. Even short-term performances at hotels, clubs, or private events require proper documentation.
